What's new with ESPA?

Please note that this is an insanely busy time of year for us (our fiscal year-end, annual-reporting and proposal-writing time, among our other 'day job' & family priorities). If you are trying to reach us about sponsoring a new event or project, be warned you will not likely receive an immediate response. Aside from the few events listed below, we're pretty much 'unavailable for anything' until spring 2009. Thanks for your consideration.

* All of ESPA's events are always free to low-income.

All dates & times subject to slight change - when in doubt, please call ESPA for more info!

We also have a few bits of general news to share...

• We now have over 750 members from 33 countries

• In 2006 ESPA was accepted to be featured in the upcoming university textbook "Community Media & Communicative Democracy" (working title), edited by Kevin Howley, Associate Professor of Media Studies, Department of Communication & Theater, DePauw University (Greencastle, Indiana, USA). The book is finally approaching it's print deadline and updates on the release of the text will finally be available in the new year. (Howley's previous text is "Community Media: People, Places, and Communication Technologies" - see http://academic.depauw.edu/~khowley/index.htm for more info!)

• A reminder that ESPA distributes 100% post-consumer recycled paper at (wholesale) cost to other local groups who want to switch to recycled but can't afford retail prices. CALL 434-9236 or email us to have an order form emailed to you.
