"The Third World is very much like the First World - just poorer: What works for the West will work for the rest as well." - Former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher

Join Elitist Eccentrics, Pompous Propagandists & Religious Zealots for our CLOSING PARTY to celebrate all things Agitprop (that's political art, folks!)

Theatrical rantings of the irreverent Whore$ for Harper and their malversational cronies provide the back-drop of this satirical event worshipping the Almighty Dollar whilst mocking Capitalist Culture. (Meanwhile, anarchists, hippie pinko commies and lefty agent provocateurs plan their revenge…)

Check out the zine fair & eco-art market, watch cool video & animation shorts, ponder over the Street Art Worker's beautiful globalization posters, and - best of all - enliven your senses with amazing, eclectic and decadent live performances by:

FORMAL DRESS CODE IN EFFECT: Put away your boots and baggy britches, dust off your top hats, tuxes & ball gowns… hideous prom dresses, tiaras and powdered wigs are highly encouraged, or pay the price for being a poor slob. * (See more info and suggestions for costuming after our performer bios below!)

The Vibe Tribe
Hips, hula hoops, and hurdygurdy are just a few of the elements that make Vibe Tribe unique. Rooted in the tradition of Tribal Style Bellydance and pushing the boundaries of Tribal Fusion, this dynamic ensemble is an explosion of cultural diversity. Employing swords, poi, hula hoops, and influences from around the world, Vibe Tribe seeks to immerse you in the world where musican and dancer meet, and to experience the power of that connection. Accomplished multi-instrumentalist and composer Paul Bromley weaves his own ethnic blend of music, using instruments from around the world to defy cultural boundaries and create a sound that is hard to localize, and is universal in its appeal. Paul is accompanied by David Hoyle on the hurdy-gurdy. One of the primary goals of Vibe Tribe is to promote community and the Arts in Alberta by putting together performances, offering classes in many dance forms, and drumming styles for anyone who is interested. www.vibe-tribe.ca
